EPV SOLAR Wins “Euromoney and Ernst & Young Renewable Energy Award 2007”

EPV SOLAR, Inc. (formerly Energy Photovoltaics, Inc.), a thin-film solar module manufacturer and technology developer, with headquarters in New Jersey, USA, has received the Euromoney and Ernst & Young Global Renewable Energy Award for 2007. The award recognizes private sector achievement that drives growth in the renewable energy industry sector.

Presented at the Renewable Energy Finance Forum Awards Program in London, dubbed the “Green Oscars,” EPV SOLAR’s award was the “Equity Deal of the Year – Technology.” Awards were made in twelve categories, from “IPO of the Year” to “Climate Change Investment Program of the Year.”

Mr. Jonathan Jones, head of renewable energy at Ernst & Young, said, “Renewable energy has increased in importance on a greater scale than ever before, and celebrating those who innovate and contribute to the success of the industry through finance and investment is essential.”

EPV SOLAR announced $77.5 Million of new financing on June 20, 2007, for the purpose of expanding its thin-film solar module manufacturing capacity. Locations in several U.S. states and European countries are under consideration for EPV SOLAR’s manufacturing capacity expansion.
